SEO Africa at KNUST: Empowering Students for Global Careers

SEO Africa

SEO Africa continued its commitment to bridging the gap between academia and industry with an engaging information session at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). In collaboration with the KNUST Career Services Centre, the session provided students with career development insights, employability training, and exposure to global opportunities, equipping them with the necessary skills to thrive in today’s competitive job market.

A key part of the session focused on first-year students, guiding them on how to make the most of their four years on campus. The discussion emphasized the importance of strategic academic planning, networking, and skill development. Students received practical advice on securing internships, taking on leadership roles, and leveraging university resources to build strong career foundations. The event also featured a talk by Mrs. Joycelyn Ansu Gyeabour, SEO Africa’s Programmes Manager, who stressed the role of self-mastery, resilience, and leadership in professional success.

In addition to the general session, students participated in focused breakout discussions tailored to their academic backgrounds. STEM students explored international opportunities, including graduate programmes, and internships that could position them for global careers. Business and economics students were introduced to career paths in private equity, asset management, and investment banking. The discussion provided clarity on the structured programmes offered by global firms and the skills necessary to excel in these fields.

SEO Africa continues to drive impact through partnerships with universities across the continent by providing students with direct access to career insights and industry networks. The collaboration with KNUST Career Services Centre reinforces our mission to ensure that students are equipped with the right skills, exposure, and mentorship to excel in their careers. As SEO Africa expands its reach, we remain dedicated to empowering the next generation of African leaders and professionals.
