  • 1. Who is eligible to apply for the SEO Africa 2020 Ghana Career Programme?
    Final year undergraduate students of all majors expecting to graduate in the current academic year (i.e. must be eligible for the next National Service cycle) i) a student at a university in Ghana, or ii) a Ghanaian citizen studying overseas with an intention to return and stay permanently in Ghana after your internship. You must have either a First Class or Second Upper (3.0 GPA and above) to apply. If you are a Second Lower student (GPA between 2.50 and 2.99), you may still apply but are required to answer an additional essay question.
  • 2. What is the structure of the SEO Africa selection process?
    Online Application – Fill in and submit our online application form. Your application will be reviewed to determine if your qualifications are a good fit for our programme. In-person Interviews – Short-listed applicants will be invited for two interview rounds with our programme representatives. Notification – Selected candidates will receive notifications about their acceptance into the programme.
  • 3. What is the structure and timing of the SEO Africa Career Programme?
    The entire programme will consist of an online course to be completed prior to the classroom training, a 2 week classroom training, followed by an internship at a leading company. The timeline for the programme differs depending on the country. The Nigerian internship for instance will be based on the kind of programme the candidate participates in while the Ghanaian programme will be held from early June (this year) to July (of the following year).   • 4. When will SEO Africa start accepting applications?
    The online application for the current Goldman Sachs Spring Internship Programme will open in September of this year, and that of the SEO Africa Career Programme will open in October of this year.   • 5. How do I submit my application to the programme?
    Application and other necessary documents will be submitted online via our website application system. You will be able to register for a log-in account before being directed to our application page. All applications can be partially saved and have changes made anytime before submitting. Once an application has been submitted, no further changes are allowed.
  • 6. What are the basic components of the application?
    You will be asked to provide your personal information, answer two short essay questions, upload a copy of your most current CV, upload a business appropriate photograph, and provide the name and contact information of at least one reference.
  • What about my university transcript?
    You do not need to upload your university transcript during the online application process. However, if you are invited for an interview, you will be asked to produce a copy of the transcript during the interview.
  • 8. Is there a fee to apply?
    No, it is FREE for students to apply.
  • 9. How do I know if my application is successfully received?
    A confirmation email will be sent to your inbox upon your completion of our online application.
  • 10. How many interns are you taking for this year's programmes?
    We are targeting 60 - 80 interns for our current programmes.
  • 11. Where are the internships located?
    Currently, SEO Africa candidates are placed in internship opportunities in countries across the African continent. SEO Africa candidates also take up opportunities across the globe, spanning four different continents. Countries include the USA, UK, France and Hong Kong.
  • 12. Do I have to pay anything if I get accepted into SEO Africa?
    No, if you get accepted into the programme, you do not have to pay anything. You will actually receive compensation during your internship.
  • 13. What type of compensation will I get?
    This will be a paid internship, however, your compensation can vary depending on the company you are placed in, you will be notified of your compensation before you begin your internship.
